INDIA: ELLORA CAVES

Cave temples cut into the basalt cliffside, dating from the 6th century AD to the end of the first millenium. There are 34 caves in all, encompassing Buddhist, Hindu and Jain temples. It is located in Maharashtra, about 100 km from Ajanta
